A drainboard kitchen sink can solve several problems - from cracked granite to simply needing more sink space.
I can build sinks like these in stainless as well. The stainless option will be a bit more than the copper due to the fact that stainless is much more difficult to work with. We build farm sinks with drainboards, undermount and drop in sinks with drainboards.
In my humble opinion my NexGen or Signature Series sink, that offers interior ledges to hold cutting boards and a grid, might be a better option for some of you.

These sinks are custom made. Generally, the bowl is about 28" long and the drain board is about 16" long. That being said, your wish is our command!
Certainly one of the largest sinks we have built. This sink measured 7 1/2 feet long! It featured two drain boards and an apron front with a custom horizontal patina. We shipped this one to Hawaii. This sink was designed to be under mounted. We have shipped quite a few sinks to Hawaii and Alaska.

Here is a smart and less expensive alternative. Make the drain board as part of the counter-top! Great Idea!
